Lauren Scanie is a Participant in the Cenovus Employment Initiative and is now employed with Cenovus as a Lab Assistant. She states: "Since joining The Project has been nothing but GREAT! Everyone that I met (in the program and in the employment field) have been more than willing to help me learn and adjust to the complex world of the oilfield. The only barrier I had to overcome was myself, believing that I could put everything I've got into a job that I've learned to love. Everyday is a learning experience and I thank Cenovus and Cold Lake First Nations for giving me this opportunity to explore the workforce"
